The Toast and Renaming of Second Wind
Sunday, September 11, 2011: We Salute the former owner, Douglas Gardner, (now deceased - R.I.P), and say Farewell! Doug was an avid racer, and he raced his Cal 35 MkII, "Le Coeur d' Or" (Heart of Gold), extensively, winning the Ensenada Race at least two times!
And now that we have taken possession of this beautiful vessel, we rename her and Christen her, appropriately: the S/V "SECOND WIND"! And will, hopefully, safely take her to faraway places... not racing now - but cruising - the oceans of the world!
